Object-based Reference Service Design


The client needed a online game directory system that provided detailed information for a online Massively Multiplayer Online gaming system. The design needed to be flexible enough to reuse for multiple MMO games.


The first phase of development focused on designing the system and providing database schema, application architecture, and information design. The design provided a development framework to customize the type of information gathered and displayed to end users and management staff based on the needs of a specific gaming system.


The client was very happy with the system design and was impressed with the level of detail I provided.

Robert's Thoughts

This was the first phase of a three phase development strategy. Once the design was approved we would move onto development and testing. After testing the client would install and test the final application for final deployment. The client is evaluating the estimated costs for development and deployment. Because of this, I am waiting for acceptance of the cost and estimate to continue development.
