I had an ex co-worker ask for help on a small business website she and a friend were working on. They needed a website that looked professional, but still had a handmade feel.
I had two meetings with the ladies discussing their company, long-term goals, and type of feel their product needed to produce. After conducting research I designed a basic e-commerce website architecture and also had a simple interface design that was functional and would not detract from the beauty of the product the ladies were selling.
I spent only four days on the project and had the site live by the next week. My friends got a few hundred orders over a six month period. But because of life issues they closed down the shop.
This was a pretty straight forward project. I did it pro-bono because my co-worker was unemployed and I just wanted some practice.
