New Year, long time no see, yeah I've been busy

Well, it has been a while since I last posted to my blog. Well the fact is I've been crazy busy with work, the holidays, and just plain keeping up with life. So I guess I'll provide an overview of work, holidays, and life.

Work

For the last six months I have been partnering with a colleague to manage and run Swipht Technologies. We have been working hard to keep the company profitable while making sure our clients get the service and support they need. So if you are looking for business and technology consulting or just need graphic design, business analysis, usability, or systems integration help. Give Swipht a call, we have professionals on-staff (or in our broad network of consultants and partners) who can solve your problems.

Holidays/Personal

This holiday season that includes Oct, Nov, and Dec (since I haven't posted for that time) was pretty hectic. For both Thanksgiving and Christmas I hosted our family get together so (gasp) I had to cook. Yeah I'm sure you think because I'm a bachelor who lives alone my primary diet is  junk food. But you'd be wrong I cook, so well so that I made the Turkey for Christmas this year. I got 4 stars from the whole family. :)

This year I have several personal projects I plan to focus on. The first is simple, I'm going to add more photography and art I've created over the years into my gallery section. I finally finished cleaning up a spar room in my home and made it into an art room. It has been about 10 years since I picked up a pencil or paint brush, so I am going to spend some time working on art. I'm already behind in my commissions, I promised some drawing and or paintings to my family and friends for the holidays. Let's just say I didn't have time to deliver so that is the first set of works I have on my list.

I also plan to spend some time studying different historical art styles. My goal is to create a still life scheme and then try to draw or paint it in a historical style. Like for example trying Art Deco (my favorite), Dada, Expressionism, Cubism, etc. Then I plan to post the series on my website for all to admire or ridicule.
