Created a magazine sampler to showcase my photoshop and graphic design skills. The designs leverage stock photography and algorithm-based generated art that combines a edgy cyberpunk feel with alternative music. I wanted to see how far I could go with the limited resources available. It must of struck a cord because I scored a magazine cover on the local Portland Design Federation and a few design gigs. :)

Deutsche Bank

Conducted research and development into the creation of a flash-based broadband interface for finanical owners.

Autodesk

Developed new Autodesk CD-Rom Template and interactive identity strategy.

HSW Enterprises

Designed and developed process and document management system for national construction company. Provided automated notification and business rules auditing system.

Oregon Food Bank

Provided analysis and design services for modeling business processes and defining an application design for a consolidated donor management system.

General Electric

Developed financial calculators for employees of the client to assist in increasing 401(k) enrollment. The calculators were developed using a custom built cross-browser javascript framework that integrated with server-side algorithms written in perl, cold fusion, and php.

Act3 Theatres

Developed flash-based splash screen for the corporate website that provided marketing appeal and integrated into the movie and theater search engine. The design was part of a larger marketing strategy that contributed to the purchase of the company by Regal Movies.

Cotelligent

Designed and developed a project portal that provided security-based user profile management, file management, and project task and status updates. Team members could post short messages that would be pushed out via email. Actions such as adding a document or posting a forum message would send automated notifications to team members and clients.

Tektronix

Provided management, information design, and media managment services for an asset CD-ROM

Paxton Patterson

Architect, technical manager, and development lead for a web-based LCMS (Learning Content Management System) that provided just-in-time curriculum customization, remote student monitoring, and correlated to federal, state, and city learning standards. The system would validate the standards compliance using evaluation and testing rubrics that are integration into a robust testing and reporting suite.
Life is not easy. Everyone gets knocked down so there is no shame in it. The shame comes when you fail to get back up.
